7 self care rituals that will make you feel better in an instant

There are plenty of things you can do to feel good, but sometimes we get stuck in a routine that doesn't feel right but we have no inspiration or motivation to change it. Here are a few easy rituals you can start with today, to feel good immediately: 

  1. Self-massage
    Use coconut oil, olive oil or different essential oils of your choice to give yourself a massage. You can warm up the oil or use it as it is. Start from the scalp and move your way down the body using gentle strokes towards the heart center. This is an ancient ayurvedic ritual called Abyanga, read more here. This is an excellent ritual to start your self-care practice.

  2. Create a sacred space
    Make a big clean out of the things that are just holding space in your home. The ambient around you often reflects the inner you. Declutter your space in order to calm your mind. Light candles, smudge, use incense, put on some music and enjoy your own company. (If you ask me, I love cozy days in my sofa surrounded by at least six pillows!).

  3. Yoga
    Start a yoga practice if you haven't already. Yoga is for you and works with you and what you got. Forget everything about challenges, competitions and hard to reach demands. Your yoga practice is personal and nondemanding. Just go with the flow.

  4. Meditation time
    ”Meditation cause all questions cant be answered by Google” right? Take time to sit in silence. To sit in peace and gratitude. Close your eyes. Put your hands to your heart center and stay there. That is meditation.

  5. Manifest your reality
    Write a life map. Write all the things you want to do in life. Focus on positive affirmations. Manifest the life of your dreams. Or manifest good things in the present moment. A positive affirmation can be as simple as ”I can”. Yes, you can.

  6. Prioritize
    Reflect on what’s really important for you. What is it that makes you wanna go out and live life and what is not? Choose the fulfilling path. There are always things in our life that we consider to be necessary. But don't mix up what other people find as important, ask yourself what’s important for you? And start with that.

  7. Love is all there is
    If you haven’t already, you can start now. What am I talking about? LOVE! Love yourself fully. All your stuff, the good and the bad. Know that you already are the best version of yourself. Maybe sounds like a surprise for you? It’s not. And you know it, in your heart. Believe it too.
